There are few places that capture the raw, quiet beauty of the desert quite like the Good Water Rim. On January 31st, we’re heading to experience it the best way we know how—on two wheels
This ride is all about the atmosphere. Expect vast canyon views, striking red rock formations, and a winding trail lined with ancient, twisted juniper cedars. It’s one of the most scenic loops in the region, offering a true sense of isolation and high-desert immersion.
The Logistics
Date/Time: January 31st. Wheels spinning at 10:00 AM sharp.
Location: Good Water Rim West Trailhead.
The Drive: Please keep in mind it’s roughly a 2:20 minute drive to the trailhead. Plan your morning caffeine stop accordingly!
The Route
We’ll be tackling a 22.6-mile loop. It’s a classic XC test of endurance and focus, though the terrain is famously flowy.
Estimated Ride Time: ~2.5 hours.
Early Exit: For those looking for a shorter day, there is an early exit option at approximately the halfway mark.

What to Bring
Since we’ll be out on the rim, come prepared. You’ll want to dress warm but plan for some feel good sunshine, a well-maintained bike, snacks, and plenty of water.
